When I look back at my journey from helping out in my father’s jewelry store in Brooklyn to becoming a real estate agent, it feels like a leap of faith that landed me right where I was meant to be. My dad always believed in the importance of finding a path that not only fulfills you but also contributes positively to the lives of others. His casual suggestion to consider real estate, prompted by a conversation with a customer who was a broker, turned out to be one of those pivotal life moments. In 2003, I took the plunge and got my real estate license. Initially, I was drawn to the excitement of commercial real estate in New York City. However, it didn’t take long for residential sales to capture my heart. Selling six homes in my first six months was more than a good start — it was a clear sign that helping families find their homes was my calling. Despite my success, working in a large franchise didn’t sit well with me after a while. It seemed like the personal touch was missing, and not every client received the care they deserved. This led me to join Martino Realty Group in 2005, a decision that changed my career and life for the better. The difference was night and day. At Martino Realty, clients are treated like family, a philosophy that resonates deeply with me. This personal approach to business has allowed me to build lasting relationships with my clients. In fact, one of my first clients has become one of my best friends — I even had the honor of becoming the godfather to his daughter. These are not just transactions; they are the building blocks of lifelong relationships. “Make sure that you have a tip-top reputation and strive to do the best for your clients” is the motto I live by. This commitment once led me to stay until 1 a.m. to manage a crisis for a client whose home flooded while they were away. It’s about being there for people when they need you the most, not just when it’s convenient. Over the years, I’ve expanded my skills, learning languages like French and Portuguese and even becoming a licensed mortgage loan originator to better serve my clients through every step of their real estate journey. Whether I’m working in Brooklyn, Staten Island, or anywhere in NYC, I try to bring my unique blend of local expertise and personal experience to the table. Away from work, my life revolves around my family. Being the best father possible to my kids has always been my top priority. From never missing a dance recital to overcoming driver’s ed anxiety (on my part) to navigating unknown territory as they grow up, these moments are precious to me.
