About Doug Summers
Doug Summers, BS Marketing, MBA, is the Owner and President of Summers Commercial Real Estate. He is responsible for providing supervision for his company of all transactions of sales, leasing and management of commercial real estate. He has worked extensively with communities in Illinois and the Kane County. Doug has been involved in Commercial Real Estate for over 16 years. He has produced over 350 leases within the Fox Valley. Doug Summers background includes planning and design projects in downtown revitalization areas which include Geneva and St. Charles Illinois. Doug sat as a board member on the St. Charles Downtown Partnership and participated in the master plan committee for revitalization of the downtown. In addition, Doug chaired the Economic Development committee for the same organization for over ten years. Doug also sat as the Chairman of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce retail committee for ten years. Doug was responsible for an 180,000 square foot downtown redevelopment project in Geneva Illinois. He secured leases from national, regional and local business owners achieving a 90% occupancy within the first year of the project. The project was located on a historic site of the first hospital within Kane County Illinois. It won an Illinois Planning Award for Downtown Redevelopment in 2005. Doug was Vice President for a local Fox Valley management company where he was responsible for a commercial portfolio of 750,000 square feet and 700 units of apartments. Doug has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers for 10 years and is a candidate for the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
