Her first work opportunity brought her to the DC area, where she worked with an international consulting firm that provided program development in economic sustainability throughout Africa and Asia. Through this experience, she developed a passion in the creation of urban infrastructures in rapidly growing city centers around the world and honed her expertice in contract management and negotiation. She has lived in Northern Virginia since 1991 with her husband, Doug. Both her adult children, Matthew and Camille, also live in the area.
