Paul Mychalowych has had a strong work ethic much longer than the 18 years he’s been a Realtor. As a kid, he learned the value of a dollar and appreciation for a job well done by having a paper route and cutting neighbors’ lawns. After high school graduation, Paul shared his aspirations to work in real estate with his father, an engineer who instead wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Putting his dreams on hold, Paul worked as an engineer for 25 years, eventually operating his own software and hardware company. But once he started buying and selling his own properties without the assistance of an agent, Paul’s wife urged him to transition into real estate. Paul took a leap into his new career, vowing to work just as hard for his clients as he did for his own family the 13 times they moved. Today, Paul combines a passion for hard work, detailed market knowledge and his love for people to help clients discover their dream homes. Challenges and tough transactions are no match for Paul, who says he thrives on using his innovation and creativity to close a sale. Even during the pandemic, when one client asked to make a slightly lower offer for 100 acres of land, Paul said “Why not?” A successful transaction followed, despite the listing agent saying the seller wouldn’t budge. With designations in luxury listings and short sales, as well as awards for selling the most in his franchise and brokerage, Paul is well-respected in his market. He even coaches other agents and teaches them the art of the sale. Being a mentor to others has also allowed Paul to sharpen his own skills. While Paul has accumulated years of knowledge and accolades, he still aims to treat every day like a fresh start. “I wake up every day with a sense of urgency. Even If I made money yesterday, I’m still self-employed, and I have to keep working.” When Paul takes a break from real estate, he supports his wife’s container farm, a hobby-turned-business on their 53 acres of land. He’s also active in the Lion’s Club and volunteers for various local organizations.
