Situated directly opposite the ROM, this three-storey, ceramics museum houses over 4,000 pieces of earthenware and porcelain. Opened by George and Helena Gardiner, this museum has been around since its unveiling on 6 march 1984.
Spadina House: 285 Spadina Road, Toronto
Spadina House is a historic house museum where its art, interior design and architecture reflects the styles of the 1860s to the 1930s. This house was built by James Austin, a rich banker who lived in the home until 1983, which was when the house was given to the city of Toronto.
Bata Shoe Museum: 327 Bloor St West, Toronto
The Bata Shoe Museum is a home of footwear, which includes more than 13,000 shoes that dates back 4,500 years. It contains the world’ largest collection of footwear with its initial collection from Sonja Bata herself.
